Friday was kidsclub. Its alot like our wed night clubs at church. The usual kids invite their friends and we taught them a song...Blind Man. Tim gave a demonstation of trust and faith by having a child stand on a desk and cover his eyes. Then he told the child to fall back and trust that Tim would catch him. All the kids were nervous, but laughed when Tim caught the boy! We had a devotion time. During devotion one volunteer would ask a question, the kids would answer by covering their faces. They do this often, cover their faces or mouths like they are embaressed or something. So the leader says "who's kingdom is it???" The kids answer "ours" then he tells them to shout it, they answer "OURS" so he says then speak like it is yours!! then we taught them how to play duck duck goose. They loved it!
I love to see their smiles!! the dark faces with these bright white smiles! We are all starting to get more comfortable with eachother.
The kids dont come on the weekend, so we went to a crocodile farm today with the volunteers and their families! It was a nice time spending with the great people God has put here to serve Him and His people! We LOVE the volunteers here!! To hear their stories and learn about the culture has been so interesting.
I know everyone is wanting pictures. Namibia has a law that nobody can post pictures or take pictures of children without the written consent of the parent and the child. With that said we have to be VERY careful of what we take pictures of. We maybe able to post pictures of the kids doing a craft without faces, and some of the kids walking home from Kids club. So be patient. I know you are anxious to see what we see :)
Until next time.....keep the prayers coming!!
