To start out, this is not Stephanie, it's Tim and if you know me you will understand why, for those who don't, I'm tecnology challenged, along with other things.
Today Bill Brooks and I worked on variuos projects both on site and off site. After our devotion time with the staff one of the staff said that she was having plumbing issues and needed someone as soon as possible, there was water running out of the house. Bill and I made a trip over and discovered she had several issues, none of which was going to be pretty. We returned to the Care Point and picked up supplies that we were had planned on using for the care point and returned to the house. In case you were wondering, the house is owned by CHI. While I was fixing the toilet the one year old little "Tina" she has been to the care point a couple of times, stood in the door way of the bathroom and let out a couple of grunts, you this sound if you've little ones, and after a while it was not pleasant. We thought, surely her daiper was loaded, but no, after futher investigation she apparently had no daiper on and under her long dress was a present for Mr. Bill. we couln'nt stop laughing, it was the comedic highlight of the trip, almost. Brandi has been cutting it quite a bit since we left SFO, she is a funny one.
After Bill cut the glass for the broken window, that was something to see, it loked like a Crockodile chewed it off, but it fit just right and after some glasing pudding no one would the difference. We fixed two water heaters, three showers, it was a very busy and smelly.
later, I was thinking of something special to do with the kids when they were done with thier studies and Four Square came to mind, so Emily and Taylor found some chalk and drew out the lines, the staff, Bill, Emily, and Taylor played with the staff. The kids will play tomorrow because they finished thier studies to late to play, they all walk home at 5pm.
While they were playing Four Square God gave me another idea "Paper Airplanes" so I quickly found some paper and a made several planes. Patrick, one of the volunteers watched with amazement while I folded and shaped my little plane. We took the proto type out for a test flight and it floated along on the wind while Patrick watched and smiled. after the second or third flight it was soaring so well that it flew over into the backyard of the home behind the care point and beyond the electric fence, gone! I made three more, one for the 3 year old daughter of the care point director and two for a couple of kids as they were leaving. One girl, i don't know how old picked one up and gave it a toss and then chased after it, she had a huge smile on her face. I told her she could take it home and color it and then bring it back with her tomorrow she was so excited and I'm excited to see how she has colored it.
Brandi sat in on the choose to wait lesson today and really enjoyed what wa tought and how the leader presented the message. Taylor and Emily helped out in the younger kids class coloring and things. Taylor and Emily have become pretty good bud's, they are awesome with the kids ans great as teammates.
Well it's 12pm here and must get some rest, it's going to be another busy day tomorrow. God bless and thank you all for your prayers.
